Youth Protection Training
Youth Protection Training (YPT) is mandatory for any registered adult leader. The link to YPT training is provided below. Complete your training and send a copy of the completion certificate to Mike Rigo at: mrigo@integrity-apps.com
Go to http://myscouting.org/ log in and then click on “e-learning”
Also, please make an extra effort to complete the training for your position. If you have completed training that was not reflected on the spreadsheet sent out earlier this month, please send Mike Rigo, mrigo@integrity-apps.com, a copy of the completion certificate to ensure it gets into the database. Our database does not connect with NCAC. Appreciate your assistance in updating our records.
YPT, Committee Training, and other safety training to assist with our outdoor activities are all online.
For all Leaders – Youth Protection Training within two years.
For Committee Members – “This is Scouting” (formerly New leader essentials – either is acceptable) and “Troop Committee Challenge” as leader specific training
For Scoutmasters/ASMs – “This is Scouting”, “Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training”, and “Intro to Outdoor Leader Skills”
How to Update Your Training Record
We have received several questions on how to update your training record to include your membership number. If your number appears on your certificate, you should be all set. If not, linking your member number will assist with your information being recognized by Council, please ensure that your member number is attached to your training profile in My Scouting.
From the MyScouting Website http://myscouting.org/
“You must enter this member ID into your MyScouting profile so that your local council has a record of the training you have taken online. To do this, log into MyScouting, click My Profile, and enter your member ID number. This links your Youth Protection training, and any other MyScouting training, to your BSA membership.
Any questions please contact Mike Rigo: mrigo@integrity-apps.com.
